Hello Reader,Oops! It's been a while since we got connected. Anyways, I thought I'll give you my opinion about the best selling book 'The Hunger Games'. For those of you who have already read this book, this may be a memory teaser.
This book has been breaking all records in the recent past and has been a great seller and a good-read. The book focuses on Katniss Everdeen, a sixteen year old living in District 12 of Panem, which is built in the ruins of futuristic North America. Katniss lives with her mother and her younger sister, Primrose. Each year for the last 74 years the Hunger games have been held. All 12 districts of Panem sends in two tributes, one boy and one girl to participate in the Games. This is held to remind the districts of the Capitol's power over them. Out of all 24 tributes, only one returns!!While reaping, Prim's name is picked out and Katniss volunteer's instead of her young, innocent sister. And Peeta Mellark, a baker's son is picked from the boys. Katniss and Peeta must fend for themselves against natural elements, the Game makers and the other contestants whose only option is to kill or to be killed. Suzanne Collins packed this book with lots of action. So, 'Happy Hunger games!! And may the odds be ever in your favour.'
Enjoy reading this interesting book. I'll be posting next week on the second book of this series "The Catching Fire" for an occasion. Till then Read, Write and Relish!!!
